Sirsa: On Wednesday, a threat letter was issued by the ‘Qurbani Wing’ of Dera Sacha Sauda. In the letter, it warned to kill anyone including journalists, former Dera followers and Haryana police officers if they speak against Ram Rahim.
According to the report published in India Today, the threat letter reads, “Will kill all opposing Gurmeet Ram Rahim”. Letter also talked about 200 children of Dera, who are ready to commit suicide to take revenge.
In the letter, wing also mentioned the names of some of the media houses that have allegedly spoken or written against Dera chief Ram Rahim after his conviction in two rape cases. The letter has also accused the ruling Haryana government of cheating Dera Sacha Sauda.
After the threat, police has become alert and decided to check the authenticity of the letter.
It may be mentioned that CBI court sentenced Dera Sacha Sauda chief Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh to 20 years in jail for rape. 36 people died and over 250 were injured in the violence which broke out at Panchkula and Sirsa minutes after his conviction.
It is also reported that according to arrested Dera followers, Ram Rahim recruited ‘Qurbani Wing’ to deal with extreme situations when their chief is in trouble.
