Irrigation Minister T Harish Rao today clarified that Dindi Project will be linked with the Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project at any cost.
Replying to questions raised by Congress MLA from Kalwakurthy Challa Vamshichand Reddy on linking Dindi Lift Irrigation Project via Narlapur reservoir of Palamuru-Rangareddy Lift Irrigation Project here on Thursday in the Assembly, the Irrigation Minister pointed out that the State government released G.O.No.107 in 2015 stating that Srisailam Reservoir water will be given to Dindi Lift Irrigation Project.
Lashing out at Congress MLAs, Harish Rao alleged that the former were speaking on Dindi project only for publicity sake. He said water will be given to 14,430 acres in Achampet and 10,000 acres in Kalwakurthy through Dindi project. He also alleged that the Congress leaders filed cases in Green Tribunal to obstruct the Dindi project. He also informed that water allocation will be increased in the Krishna River. (NSS)
