DK Aruna opposes Palamur LS ticket to Jaipal Reddy

Hyderabad: Congress leader DK Aruna has admitted that she has differences with the former Union Minister and senior party leader S Jaipal Reddy. She said the differences were due to the age difference between them.

In an informal talk with the scribes at Gandhi Bhavan today, DK Aruna said Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha ticket should not be given to Jaipal Reddy but can be given the ticket to a strong leader from the BC community. She also made it clear that she has no differences with Kodangal MLA Revanth Reddy. She also said she doesn’t want any AICC post because it would be not proper to work at another place when elections are nearing.

Claiming that the ruling party was facing opposition from the people in Mahabubnagar district, Aruna suggested to the PCC to encash the anti-incumbency factor. She also asked the PCC to convince one or two leaders, who will face problems after the announcement of election candidates, to move forward.

Aruna clarified that her daughter never sought a ticket till date. The party got new enthusiasm after AICC Chief Rahul Gandhi’s toured the State. She also claimed that several senior leaders from other political parties were ready to join the Congress.
