Donation Appeal for Ashraf-ul-Madaris Education Society

Hyderabad: Ashraf-ul-Madaris Education Society runs the Ashraf-ul-Madaris Urdu Medium High School which is a 107 years Muslim minority institution established in 1911 and is recognized by the Government of Telangana. It is located in Yakhutpura neighborhood of the old city of Hyderabad which is densely populated by the poorest of the poor Muslims. The poverty and illiteracy of the people of the surrounding area, makes it difficult for them educate their children condemning them to another generation of poverty. The parents cannot and will not afford to educate their children. They pull out their children from the school after primary level to condemn them to child labor to support their vices and non-earning habit by choice. In such a situation, where the parents are the worst enemies of the children, we have to attract and retain the children in the school. This can be done, not only, by not charging them fees and granting them free-ship, but also by awarding them sustenance scholarships to allow them to escape from falling into the living hell of child labor. Help us generously to continue and enlarge this noble task because —-
Muslim orphaned children are at risk: The orphans of the Muslim community are the most marginalized of all the people. They depend on a poor mother with a number of other orphans, or are at the mercy of a cruel step father. Their only escape is education for a successful livelihood. Remember Allah swt has said “…it is righteousness – to believe in Allah and the Last Day …..;to spend of your substance, out of love for him, …for orphans …” Surah 2 Al Baqara; Ayah 177. Sahl ibn Sa’d reported: The Profit, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “The one who cares for an orphan and myself will be together in Paradise like this,” and he held his two fingers together to illustrate. Sahih al-Bukhari 5659. So, donate generously.

Muslim Umma is at risk: The poorest of the poor Muslims, whom we serve, are at the risk of falling into a life of crime or mercenary terrorism, without education and/or skills to earn an honest livelihood. They are to be armed with education to becoming useful and contributing members of the society and country. They urgently need your financial help. So, donate generously.

Urdu language is at risk: Our mother tongue and the beautiful and enchanting language of Meer, Sauda, Ghalib & Iqubal, the language of Munshi Prem Chand & Ismat Chuktai is at risk. This Urdu medium school preserves the rich heritage of the Urdu language by preparing live users and speakers of URDU. If we don’t support this effort we are condemning the language to its death. Education in Urdu now has tremendous livelihood opportunities with the declaration of Urdu as the second official language by the State of Telangana, and the opening of the Maulana Azad National Urdu University, by the Government of India.
