New Delhi: Human Resource Development ministry, Govt. of India has appointed noted writer and critic and associate professor Satyawati College, Delhi, Dr Shaikh Aqueel Ahmed as the new director of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language. According to the circular, his term will be for three years. He assumed charge of his post in the head office of National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language as Director.
Dr Aqueel Ahmed is the well-known dynamic personality of Urdu. He is the writer of dozens of books. His research papers have been published in various journals of the country and abroad. He writes articles in Hindi, Urdu and English.
Dr Aqueel Ahmed belongs to Motihari district of Bihar.
