Finding fault with the state government for suspending him from the House, CLP leader K Jana Reddy has said that it was atrocious and alleged that the suspension of Congress party members from both the houses was anti-constitutional act.
Speaking to the media here on Tuesday, Jana Reddy said the government suspended Congress members fearing they would expose the lacunae in the budget if they continued in the House. The government was trying to see that the people do not know the facts. The government was also thinking that the budget be passed without any discussion.
Describing the expulsion of Congress MLAs—Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and SA Sampath Kumar — on Tuesday as black day, Jana Reddy said they will take legal opinion on the issue. He said that the TRS party, which was lodging its protest at Parliament by entering into the Podium, was behaving differently here in the Assembly. The TRS government was killing the democracy by suppressing the voice of the Opposition parties, he said and pointed out that the State government was not taking decisions following the traditions of the Parliamentary practices.
The first day issue took place in the House was under the purview of Governor, he stated and made it clear that the Governor has to take the decision on it and the decisions to be taken by the Speaker should be from today. It was not correct on the part of the Speaker to suspend and expel the opposition parties from the House, he said and made it clear that the Congress party would wage fight in the Court. (NSS)
