We dream of ‘Ram Rajya’ in UP: Yogi Adityanath

Ayodhya (Uttar Pradesh) [India]: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday reached Ayodhya to attend a mega event, ‘Deepotsav’ where a record number of nearly two lakh earthen oil lamps were illuminated on the banks of River Saryu.

The Chief Minister, while addressing the public, said that the state government is making efforts to make Uttar Pradesh a tourism hub in India and the world, adding the state is signified as ‘Ram Rajya’.

“The government has sanctioned Rs. 133 crore for Ayodhya. We are taking efforts so that Uttar Pradesh becomes tourism hub for India and the world. Ayodhya has taught the lesson on humanity to the world. There will be no home without electricity. We have a dream of ‘Ram Rajya’ in Uttar Pradesh,” Yogi Adityanath said.

He added that the government is ready to electrify Ayodhya 24×7 as this is ‘Ram Rajya’, where there is no discrimination.

“It was Ravan Rajya which would discriminate on the basis of caste or background. There are people in this country who will oppose every good initiative. If I come to Ayodhya, they will question that. If I don’t come to Ayodhya, they will say I am scared of coming here,” the Chief Minister asserted.

Chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ echoed on the banks of the Saryu River as actors portraying the roles of Lord Rama and Sita arrived on a chopper decked up to resemble the mythological ‘Pushpak Viman’ – in a recreation of Lord Rama’s return from 14 years of exile to Ayodhya – as part of a grand ‘Deepotsav’ celebration, attended by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik and senior ministers were also in attendance for the event. (ANI)
