Dropout trend of Muslim students should be stopped: Sudhir

Hyderabad: Mr. G. Sudhir, Chairman of Inquiry Commission for the backwardness of Muslims advised the Muslim students to refrain from dropping out from the schools. He was addressing the book releasing ceremony of Dr. Dawood Ashraf’s book “Famous personalities of Translation Bureau of Osmania University” at Urdu Hall, Himayat Nagar yesterday.

Mr. A.K. Khan, Advisor to Govt. on Minority Affairs, Dr. Syed Mustafa Kamal, Ms. Udhesh Rani, Mr. Syed Imtiyazuddin and Mir Ayub Ali Khan attended the function. Mr. Ayub Ali Khan conducted the meeting.

Mr. Sudheer lamented that Muslims are not getting sufficient financial assistance from banks which is the cause of their economic backwardness. He applauded the role played by Urdu in Hyderabad. He recollected that his father passed out MBBS through Urdu medium.

Mr. A.K. Khan highlighted various steps taken by the State Govt. for improving the standard education of the Muslims. He felt the need for digitalization of the records available in State archives which could be helpful to the research scholars.
