Drug Racket Case: SIT prepares second list for interrogation

Hyderabad: SIT of State Excise prepared the second list of the drug probe victims. This list includes noted film personalities, their children, politicians and corporate industry personnel.

On the other hand, pressure is mounting on the Govt. to deal with the drug case leniently. There are reports that Telugu Film Industry will shift to Vishakhapatnam. After this, it seems, Mr. KCR has become lenient. He is calling the drug users as victims and those who sell and supply drugs as criminals.

The man behind the determination to cleansing the city from drug peddlers is Mr. Akun Sabharwal. During investigations, in adulteration of food, drug racket came to limelight. CM of TS, Mr. KCR fully supported the stand taken by Mr. Sabharwal. He persuaded Mr. Sabharwal to withdraw his ten days’ leave application. He had also delegated full powers to him with an instruction to sue even the ministers if they found guilty.
In the first list, a decision was taken to issue notices to 19 noted personalities of Telugu film industry but later it was decided to issue notices to only 12 persons. The series of interrogation will come to an end today.

Authentic sources revealed that SIT has prepared the second list which includes Telugu film directors, their sons and a daughter of a very famous Telugu film director. An important personality of media house is said to be included in the second list. It was also revealed that the sons of some politicians got LSD from Rayalaseema mining contractors. 12-13 realtors of the city have invested money in film industry. They could also be interrogated.

Pressure is mounting on SIT not to call certain persons for interrogations. If need be SIT officials should contact them. Reliable sources indicated that Telugu film industry is exerting its pressure that it is defaming by issuing notices. If the series of interrogations is not stopped, Telugu film industry will temporarily be shifted to Vishakhapatnam and later this arrangement would be made permanent.
