Jamshedpur: In a shocking incident reported from Jamshedpur region, a 28-year-old man hacked his mother to death on a petty issue after she refused to serve him food, a police officer said today.
The incident occurred in Kuldiha, 28 km away from Jamshedpur were Bistu Singh an alcoholic man got into a quarrel with his mother (55) when she refused to serve him food and asked him to fend for himself, DC reports.
Furious over her refusal the drunk accused thrashed her with a stick killing her on the spot.
According to the locals, the accused regularly engaged in arguments at home and outside.
Superintendent of Police Pitambar Kherwar said the accused has been arrested and the stick used to hit the victim has been seized.
The victim’s body was sent for post mortem.
