According to the report of the police traffic police staff was busy in checking the drivers in connection with implementing “Drink and Drive” prevention campaign.
This incident took place at Champapet area where the traffic police constables at Charminar police station were busy in checking the motor cyclists who were driving vehicles in drunken state.
It is reported that police intercepted two bikers and tested them. They were found to be in drunken condition.
Meanwhile, the two drivers by name Rauf and Jahangir attacked the Asst. Sub-Inspector of Police, Shankar Babu and Home Guard, Rajeshwar.
Police registered a case and arrested them.
