Hyderabad: In yet another drunk and drive incident, a man was killed and four others were injured after the car in which they were travelling rammed into a road divider at Filmnagar here.
Police said the victims, who attended a get-together at Manikonda, consumed alcohol at the party. While, they were returning home, the man at the steering wheel lost control over the vehicle and crashed into the divider. One of the victims, identified as Vishwajith died on the spot and the injured were shifted to a hospital.
Vivek, who was allegedly driving the Volkswagen car at high speed, is suspected to have been in an inebriated condition. He lost control of the wheel and went on to hit the pavement on the left side. The car stopped after hitting a tree on the pavement. (NSS)
