Hyderabad: In a tragic incident which occurred in Gunj locality of Golconda area, the drunken husband set his wife ablaze when she refused to bring watermelon.
According to the report, Syed Sardar (50) who was addicted to drinking set his wife Tehsin Begum (42) ablaze late at night on 17th March. He sprinkled kerosene on her body and set her ablaze.
According to the report of ACP, Asif Nagar, Mr. Ashok Chakravarti, a case of attempt to murder has been registered against Sardar. Later, police arrested the accused. Tehsin Begum in her statement recorded before the magistrate at Osmania General Hospital told that her husband set her ablaze.
