Early polls likely, Congress will come back at Centre & State: Jaipal

Predicting early general elections in the country, former Union minister S Jaipal Reddy exuded confidence that the Congress would emerge victorious in the Telangana State. He also asserted that his party would return to power even at the Centre with the help of UPA partners.

In an informal talk with scribes at Gandhi Bhavan here on Tuesday, Jaipal Reddy said Congress was very strong in the villages. There was strong opposition to TRS in the villages, he said, adding that his party will not come to power in Andhra Pradesh state. Alleging that all were not getting Kalyana Laxmi benefit, Jaipal Reddy said his driver’s daughter’s marriage was held three years ago but they didn’t get Kalyana Laxmi amount yet.

KCR’s children speaking with ignorance

The former Union minister also has claimed that he had convinced the UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi to accord separate Telangana state. He further said TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao only resumed separate Telangana movement as a game but achieved the goal of separate Telangana State.

The Congress veteran has clarified that he never said KCR was not in the Telangana movement but said ‘KCR was not there in Sagara Haram’ program. He also alleged that KCR’s children were speaking with ignorance and arrogance. (NSS)
