Engineering student Aslam shot dead in Rajasthan

CHURU, RAJASTHAN: An engineering student identified as Aslam was shot dead by friend in Rajasthan’s Churu district.

According to media reports, the incident took place on Saturday night in ward number – 38 of Churu. It is reported that the accused, Ramesh Khatik had friendship with the victim Aslam and Sameer, who were residents of Ward Number 38.

On late Saturday evening, Ramesh called the duo to Raiger Basti. The trio stopped their bike at a shop, purchase a cigarette and smoke.

Suddenly, Ramesh took out a country-made pistol and then opened fire at Aslman and escaped. The victim sustained bullet injuries on his head and collapsed to the ground. He began bleeding profusely and died on the spot.

The Churu Kotwali police reached the spot and rushed Aslam to DBH hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. After a postmortem, the body of the victim was handed over to family members.

The police have launched a probe into the murder and suspect a dispute over payment of money could be the motive behind the murder.

The police have rounded up Sameer for further inquiry and a manhunt is launched to nab Ramesh.
