Enough is enough, cannot suffer till eternity: PM Modi on Pulwama, Uri terror attacks

Ghaziabad: “Enough is enough,” said Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday while talking about the “pain” India passed through after terror attacks in Uri and Pulwama in Jammu and Kashmir.

“For the last many decades, the pain that terrorism and Naxalism has given us has been agonising. Whatever happened in Pulwama and Uri is also heartbreaking. But friends, we cannot suffer this pain from Naxalites, terrorists, insurgency till eternity,” he said.

“It is too much. Enough is enough. Someone has to take a big decision at some point of time,” Prime Minister Modi said here while attending a ceremony to mark the 50th Raising Day of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF).

“This is my good fortune that with the power of crores of Indians and their faith, we have taken some strong decisions. We have given a new direction to the country’s policy. We have accepted a new policy,” he said.

The Uri attack took place on September 18 in 2016, in which 17 soldiers were killed, and many others were injured. In Pulwama terror attack on February 14, as many as 40 CRPF soldiers were killed.
