Errum Manzil: HC accepts writ against deletion of monument from heritage list

Hyderabad: Telangana High Court accepted a writ petition challenging the government order issued in 2015 for the deletion of the historical monument, Errum Manzil from the list of heritage buildings.

It may be mentioned that the other day, Mr. Ramakant Reddy, Advocate of the petitioners had submitted a counter affidavit raising high objections on the counter submitted by Govt. of Telangana in the High Court.

It is reported that in 1995, Govt. had declared Errum Manzil as a historical monument and in 2015, Govt. dropped it from this list. It introduced a new heritage act in 2017 in which this monument is not included.

The bench of Telangana High Court consisting of Chief Justice Raghavendra Chouhan and Justice Shameem Akhtar accepted PIL submitted by Mr. Ramakanth Reddy. It seems that after the admission of PIL, the matter might be prolonged.

Mr. Ramakanth Reddy is pleading on behalf of the descendants of Nawab Fakharul Mulk who had constructed Errum Manzil.
