European states should pay the cost to benefit from nuclear deal: Jawad Zarif

Dubai: Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Saturday that European countries should take action and be willing to pay the costs to reap benefits from Iran’s nuclear deal with world powers.

Zarif was quoted by the state news agency IRNA, “It is time for the Europeans to act in addition to voicing their political commitment. These measures may be costly, but if countries want to reap benefits and if they believe the nuclear accord is an international achievement, they should be ready to keep these achievements.”

US president Donald Trump had announced withdrawal from the nuclear deal on which Tehran and big forces had signed in 2015. Some European countries still continue to honour the 2015 Iran nuclear agreement.
