London: European stock markets climbed at the start of trading on Monday, with London’s benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.5 percent to 7,815.44 points.
In the eurozone, the Paris CAC 40 rose 0.2 percent to 5,626.70.
Frankfurt’s DAX 30 index was shut for a public holiday.
