Exit polls went wrong in Bihar elections, reminds Tejashwi Yadav

NEW DELHI: The exit polls are predicting a clear sweep for BJP in Gujarat and Himachal Pradesh. According to the polls, the BJP may get anywhere between 100-113, with congress struggling around 74-80.

Most of the exit polls predicted that Congress would increase its numbers from 61 in 2012.

After the exit polls were out, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav reminded everyone that similar exit polls got his state’s Assembly results completely wrong in 2015.

After Bihar elections in 2015, except one, all exit polls indicated a clear win for BJP. But after the results were out, it was a different one contrary to the predictions of exit polls. Today’s Chanakya, which predicted the most seats for the NDA, was even compelled to apologize for its predictions which went completely wrong.

As per the data available from the seven exit polls, three indicated that BJP was likely to get fewer seats than in 2012, when it had won 115.
