Explosion in Yousufguda creates panic

Hyderabad: A massive explosion ripped through the first floor of a residential building, on Friday morning leaving severe cracks on the ground floor as well as the first floor of the building. 29-year-old Ashok was injured in the explosion and suffered 70 percent burns. He is said to be in a critical condition.

The building where the blast occurred is owned by one G Prakasham who had rented the portion out to ‘Bambula’ Balakrishna, an assistant to a top Tollywood director. Balakrishna used the premise as manufacturing unit. After primary investigations, it was found that Balakrishna manufactures the smoke bomb. A case has been booked against Balakrishna, Ashok and the house owner G Prakasham.

Dr Venkanna, scientific officer of Clues Team said that the explosives manufactured were those used in cinematic blasts in ‘quib’ type devices.
