AP: Despite making stringent laws, crimes against women are taking place in various parts of the country. In one such incident, a youth allegedly made an attempt to rape his facebook friend.
According to the report published in The Hans India, police arrested the youth, Manikanta and his two friends under the charges of attempt to rape a college girl. This incident took place in Krishna district.
As per the details of the incident, Manikanta had invited the girl to the lodge. When the girl reached the room, Manikanta along with his two friends allegedly made an attempt to rape her.
It is also reported that the accused persons had recorded video on their cell phones. Later, they blackmailed the girl.
Family members of the girl approached the police after the accused shared video clipping on social media.
Police is investigating the case.
