Fact finding team to visit Rajasthan to probe mob lynching and attacks on minorities

New Delhi: A fact finding team comprising of MPs, MLAs, Supreme Court advocates, leaders of farmers’ union and journalists will visit Rajasthan on Saturday and Sunday. The visit aims at unveiling the attacks made on minorities in Rajasthan, which has of late become a hub of extremist saffron forces.

Over 30 Muslims have become the victims of Gau Rakshaks’ attacks in the country. These include those incidents which could find place in media, however the actual number of incidents is still unknown.

The delegation of Bhomi Adhikar Andolan comprises of Rajya Sabha MP of Kerala K K Ragesh, Lok Shaba MP of West Bengal Mohammed Badrudduja Khan, Bihar MLA Mahboob Alam, Supreme Court advocate Surendernath, advocate Rasmitha, advocate Subhash Chandran and Bhomi Adhikar Andolan leaders.

The fact finding team members will first meet the family of Umar Khan, who was brutally killed in Alwar by the so-called gaurakhshaks. Dairy farmer Pehlu Khan was also mercilessly killed in Alwar. After Ghatmeka the delegation will go to Rajasmand, where Afrazul Islam was hacked to death by the brute Shambhulal and was burned. His nephew shot the video of the whole incident.

The delegation will also meet the farmers and agricultural labours belonging to minority community who have been the victim of communal elements.

The delegation will also meet local organisations, police and revenue officers.
