Hyderabad: A self-styled Swami who was exploiting women under the pretext of relieving them from the atrocities of their husbands arrested.
According to the details, Narasimha Charyulu (44) a resident of Mallapur was looting women who were the victims of family feuds and financial difficulties.
Special operation team of Rachakonda police arrested him and seized Rs. 5 lakh, 5 kg silver ornaments and fake id card of CBI.
It may be mentioned that Narasimha Charyulu hails from Khammam. He came to Hyderabad 7 years back and started cheating women. He used to talk to women in isolation and terrify them saying that there is a danger to the life of their husbands. He used to collect Rs. 3-5 lakh from the women for providing solution.
In one of his frauds, he fooled the parents of the girl who was missing and collected Rs. 3 lakh for tracing her.
In another fraud case, he collected Rs. 1 lakh and 1.25 kg of silver ornaments from a woman in Vanasthalipuram and assured her that the monetary condition of her husband would become better.
Police is investigating other complaints lodged against this swamy.
