Jodhpur: Annoyed over his name’s inclusion in the list of ‘Fake babas’, Asaram said he belongs to the category of donkeys.
The reporters had asked him to react to the decision of Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad describing him as a “fake” sadhu, self-styled godman. With an exploding response, he said he belonged to the category of “donkeys”, a report of HT said.
Asaram is facing a court trial in Jodhpur for allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl and was brought to the court premises. The saints in the country had made it clear that Asaram was neither a “saint” nor a “preacher”.

Asaram had not been talking to the media during his court appearances lately in the wake of a petition filed in high court. He had been objecting the presence of his devotees in the court.
The Akhil Bharatiya Akhara Parishad had recently produced a list of “fake babas”, cautioning the countrymen against them. The names of Asaram and his son Narayan Sai feature in it for the similar charges.
