Family of Nawab Mir Nizam Ali Khan living in misery

Hyderabad: MLC Mr. M S Prabhakar invited the attention of Council towards the miserable condition in which the family of Asif Jah II Nawab Mir Nizam Ali Khan is living. During the question hour the MLC raised the issue saying that 120 families of Nawab Taimur Ali Khan Akber Jah Bahadur, son of Nawab Mir Nizam Ali Khan are living in very miserable condition. They don’t need any aid or pension from the present government but even if the compensation of the land acquired by the government is paid to them, their condition will improve. He pointed out that the Land of Indira Park belongs to the family of Asif Jah II and the government had accepted it. Rs. 28 lakh was released as compensation during 1977 to 1989 but still Rs. 70 lakh have to be released.

Mr. Prabhakar said, besides Indira Park land, the family of Nizam Ali Khan also owns properties at Totaguda near Afzal Gunj. Over 22 Cr is still pending for the properties around Imliban station. The government has not paid the compensation of property of the family located at survey no 102/12 and 102/5 at Manikonda land. He also cited other lands belonging to the Nawab family for which the government has not paid the compensation yet.

Deputy Chief Minister and Revenue minister of Telangana Mr. Mohammed Ali assured that the government will review the case and the matter will be settled soon.
