Father of Azaan School’s rape victim writes to PM Modi

On September 14, a minor girl was raped at Azaan International School by a supervisor named Mohd Jeelani following which a huge protest was held and the accused was arrested.

After reaching home the minor girl complained of pains to her father and was taken to a hospital, where she narrated the episode to him, following which a case was booked against Mohd Jeelani.

Now recently the accused was released on the bail following which the father of a four-year-old girl has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking directions for a fair inquiry and the cancellation of the bail granted to the accused.

The accused bail application was earlier dismissed by the Court in September, but later bail was granted to him following a court hearing on November 12.

The Golconda police said that “The teachers and staff were occupied with the ongoing science exhibition at Azaan International School in Tolichowki when the supervisor lured the girl by offering chocolates and took her to a secluded part of the school and committed the offence.”

The victim’s father wrote, “I hail from a lower-middle-class family with no job and I am staying in Hyderabad to console my daughter. I humbly request your esteemed authority to intervene to provide educational and financial relief to my daughter up to higher education under government schemes and also direct the Hyderabad City Police and Telangana State to take stringent action against the culprit and the Azaan School management.”
