AMROHA: A photograph of father allegedly assaulting the children for the loss of merely Rs 10 coin went viral on social media platforms.
According to media reports, the incident took place in the Gajraula area of Uttar Pradesh’s Amroha district on Sunday when the accused identified as Islam gave a Rs 10 coin to his children to buy something from the local market.
The children, on their way to the market lost the coin following which furious Islam allegedly tied the hands of Rehan (5) and Ayan (4) along with his three-year-old daughter Iqra on an electricity pole and thrashed them brutally.
The children’s cries made the neighbours to intervene who not only clicked the picture but also rescued them from their cruel father while their mother remained a mere onlooker.
Islam even threatened the neighbours to lodge a false police case against them when they untied the kids.
The mother even hit back the people rescuing her kids saying the father had the right to do anything with their kids, adding, “If the kids commit a blunder, they ought to be punished.”
According to neighbours, Islam is unemployed and sits idle at home adding he often beats his wife and children over trivial issues.
