The first hijab-wearing American Muslim woman Olympian performs Hajj

Washington: American Muslim Olympian Ibtihaj Mohammed performed Hajj along with the other pilgrims. 32-year-old, Ibtihaj Mohammed says it was the most memorable moment of her life. The first American Olympian to take part in games by wearing Hijab posted the pictures and videos on her twitter account. She wrote ‘Words can’t express the happiness I have in my heart right now having the opportunity to spend this holiday in Makkah. May the efforts of the hujjaj be accepted and I hope Allah invites you to Hajj soon! EID MUBARAK.’

Ibtihaj Mohammed is the first Muslim woman to take part in Olympics in 2016. She came into limelight in 2016 as the Olympics’ first hijab-wearing athlete. She got the bronze medal.
