Former India cricketer: Ravi Shastri should be sacked as Head Coach

Since Virat Kohli-led India suffered a 1-4 drubbing at the hands of England in the recently concluded five-match Test series. Team India head coach Ravi Shastri has been the latest target from fans to former cricketers, everyone has been raising fingers on Ravi Shastri for India’s dismal show in England.

Chetan Chauhan the former Test cricketer holds the Indian coach Ravi Shastri responsible for the 4-1 loss and said the former captain should be removed before Australia tour in November.

Chetan Chauhan made his debut in 1969 against New Zealand in Mumbai and played his last Test in 1981. He also played seven One-day Internationals.

He stated that “Ravi Shastri is very good cricket commentator and he should be allowed to do so, Ravi Shastri should be removed as head coach before the Australia tour.”

“Team India should have performed better. Both the teams were evenly matched. But the Indian team failed to check tail-enders of England,” Chauhan said.

After a victory over England in the third Test, Shastri had claimed the present India side was the best travelling team in the world, to which Chauhan responded, “I do not agree. In the 1980s, the Indian team was the best travelling team in the world.”
