Hyderabad: Mirza Rahmat Baig, a driver and PA of former MLA, Ahmed Pasha Qadri is now contesting on MIM ticket against TRS leader T Prakash Goud.
Baig completely focused on Rajendranagar constituency after Charminar constituency split into multiple assembly segments.
Baig came to know about his ticket when MIM chief, Asaduddin tweeted his name as a candidate from Rajendranagar.
He said, “A friend informed me about the tweet, I had no idea about the ticket given to me.”
He was appointed as the in-charge for Shastripuram and Suleman Nagar division falls under Rajendranagar constituency. MIM already won from these divisions.
As on today, out of the five sitting corporators in Rajendranagar constituency, three are from TRS and two from MIM. The constituency has around 1.4 lakh minority electors out, total 3,80,494 electors.
