Four house Burglars Arrested, Stolen Property Recovered

Hyderabad: A professional and notorious House Burglary offender by name Vemula Nataraju, Occ-Ayurvedic Business /Auto driver, temporarily residing in a rented house near Vista Hospital, Banjarahills, a native of Chinna Malapally Village, Thangellamudi Mandal of West Godavari District, who has committed 47 House Burglaries in Kushaiguda Division, was apprehended, by the police.

Consequent to recent House Burglaries in Kushaiguda Division, the Commissioner of police Rachakonda, formed special teams under the supervision of DCP, Malkajgiri Zone, to curb the menace.

Strenuous efforts by the Kushaiguda Division Police, led by the ACP, resulted in arrest of the professional HB by Night Offender yesterday evening near VNS Homes at Dhammaiguda in Jawahar Nagar PS limits. The accused was apprehended when he was moving in suspicious circumstances along with a bag containing House breaking tool kit, torch light, iron rod, etc by a Police Patrol. A thorough interrogation by a special team constituted disclosed the criminal record of Nataraju and his involvement in 16 property offences registered in West Godavari district of AP State.

During interrogation Nataraju confessed to commission of 47 House burglaries that were registered in three Police Stations limits of Kushaiguda Division (between January 2016 and January 2019).

Pursuant to his confession, Gold Ornaments weighing about 2 Kgs and 10 Thulas (2,100 grams), Silver Ornaments weighing about 7 ½ Kgs (7,500 grams) were recovered.

The offender further led the Police team to his rented house at Banjara Hills, where three more of his six accomplices viz. Polimetla Rajashekar @ Stephen, Occ – Bible Typist, temporarily residing in a rented house at Nandi Nagar, Banjarahills, N/o- Kamavarapukota village, West Godavari District, Vadla Krishna Chary, Occ- Film Writer, Imampur Village, Thoopran Mandal, and Rayarapu Naresh @ Naresh Chary, Occ- Goldsmith work ( shop at Shivaji Nagar colony Thoopran), near Government Girls High School, Thoopran village, who were waiting to receive the stolen property from Nataraju were also apprehended. Three more receivers of stolen property, two from Hyderabad and one from AP state will be arrested.

Altogether Gold and Silver Ornaments recovered from Vemula Nagaraju and 3 accomplices are with about Rs. 75 lakhs. All the four (04) accused will be produced before the concerned Court.

Efforts of Kushaiguda Police of Malkajgiri Zone in apprehension of the notorious offender and recovery of the property are highly appreciated by the Commissioner of Police, said a press note.
