Hyderabad: In a heartrending incident, a four-year-old girl, Manasa was crushed by a school bus at Rajendranagar on Saturday morning. This is the second incident in a week after two-year-old, Chaitra, was mowed down by a car at Sayeedabad on August 7.
Around 9 am, Manasa was playing near her house at AVS Reddy Colony in Rajendranagar, when a bus belonging to Adarsha Vidyalaya High School which arrived in the colony to pick up students crushed her under its wheels. According to Rajendranagar inspector V Umender, the mishap occurred while the bus driver was reversing the vehicle.
The girl was rushed to Osmania General Hospital by her parents and local residents, but the doctors declared her brought dead.
