Washington: While the whole world is still recovering from the sudden brutal killing of Saudi Jounalist Jamal Khashoggi, France has joined next to Germany in imposing travel sanctions against 18 Saudi Nationals suspected to be involved in Khashoggi’s killing in Istanbul last month.
It also appears to be shrugging off concerns about the Saudi crown prince’s presence at a Group of 20 summit next week.
According to reports by a senior French official, his nation is demanding a thorough investigation in the matter though US President Trump seems to turn a blind eye despite US Intelligence claiming Saudi Crown Prince ordered Jamal’s killing, AP reports.
Trump seems to turn a blind eye to the Saudi Arabia’s abuses because of its influence on the world oil market.
The French official has not answered whether they will share the same table with the crown prince at the G-20 meetings in Argentina scheduled between 30 November – December 1.
Meanwhile, Turkey’s foreign minister criticized President Donald Trump for not taking any stand on Khashoggi’s case.
