Telangana government has decided to provide free Civil Services coaching to minority students. 62 students were selected under this scheme. They will be provided free coaching from standard institutions. All expenses will be borne by the state government. This is the first time that the government has given the choice to students to select the institution of their choice.
Centre for Educational Development of Minorities (CEDM) had conducted an entrance test in which 288 students appeared. Director General Anti Corruption Bureau and incharge Minority Welfare Department Abdul Qayyum Khan, Secretary Minority Welfare Syed Omer Jaleel and Director CEDM Prof. S A Shukoor after consultation selected 62 students for Civil Service Coaching.
