GHMC chief asks students to work as Swachh volunteer

GHMC Commissioner & Special Officer Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy said that every student must work as Swachh volunteer to make Hyderabad a garbage free city.

The Commissioner visited the Hyderabad Public School at Ramanthapur where he inaugurated new Sports Complex today. While interacting with the students, he said that it was a very difficult task to transport the garbage from household to transfer station and then to dumping yard. He said students have t play a very vital role to keep the city clean. He said each student should take up the responsibility of at least 10 houses to create awareness among the members of the family about segregation of waste.

Dr. Janardhan Reddy appealed all the students of educational institutions who have attained the age of 18 years and who have enrolled in the electoral rolls to come forward and caste their vote along with their family members on February 2nd.

Zonal Commissioner (East) C.N. Raghu Prasad,, HPS Principal Narsimha Reddy and school authorities have participated in the inaugural function. (INN)
