GHMC Commissioner asks citizens to clear property tax dues at once

Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy today appealed to all the tax payers in the entire GHMC limits to pay their property tax immediately as there will be no interest waiver this year, as the financial year ending is fast approaching and as seen from the records most of the property tax payers have not paid their dues for the existing financial year. In this connection, the Commissioner appealed to all the citizens as well as business, commercial and industrial establishments to pay their property tax dues immediately on priority.

The Commissioner held a review meeting with all the higher authorities of the ILA in his chambers today and expressed dissatisfaction about the tax collection made so far and directed the officials to coordinate with the concerned and see that 100% collection of property tax be made well in advance before the closure of the financial year.
The Commissioner while interacting with the officials said the GHMC has not enhanced the property tax since many years and striving hard to collect the property tax more than that of yesteryears, for the convenience of the tax payers. The GHMC was conducting Property Tax Parishkaram programme every Sunday in their respective circles and zonal offices to clear the property tax issues, which were pending and appealed to the citizens to avail this opportunity to pay their tax dues immediately solving their issues in the program.
Adwait Kumar Singh, Additional Commissioner (Revenue), Srinivas Reddy, Zonal Commissioner, South, Srinivas Rao, City Planner and various ILA authorities from Shamshabad, Madhapur, Nanakramguda, Cyberabad, Jeedimetla and so on attended the meeting. (NSS)
