GHMC gets 11,000 tree guards from sponsors

GHMC Commissioner Dr B. Janardhan Reddy today said GHMC has procured 11,000 tree guards under Corporate Social Responsibility from various sponsors to safeguard the trees under Telangana Harithaharam program.

The Commissioner also stated that maximum number of sponsors shall participate in Maintenance of Traffic Islands, Central Medians, Green Ways, Green Curtains etc.,   under Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) through Contract system shall be adopted and ensure maximum number of CMs/TIs/Green Ways are maintained under CSR till Aug 2017.

He said Each Green Brigadier should consist 51 Members and One Green Bridge should be created in each Ward and also to inform the Schools, Institutions, to form green brigadiers with NCC/NSS students and the members shall be studying in classes between VII and Class X. All the details are to be updated on timely basis.

A meeting was held here in which decided an action plan for development of parks with a specific concept as a theme should be done on priority basis and the status report on the same should be submitted monthly.
