GHMC Commissioner Dr. B. Janardhan Reddy has directed all the Zonal and Deputy Commissioners to issue warrants to the top defaulters and ensure cent percent Property Tax collection. He said, the penalty waiver orders would be issued by the State Government this year.
The GHMC Commissioner appealed all the property owners to pay their property tax immediately.
Addressing a meeting with all the senior officials of the Revenue wings of GHMC at FTAPPCI on Wednesday, the GHMC Commissioner said that the online self assessment scheme was getting good response. He directed all the ZCs and DCs to coordinate with all the residential welfare associations, colony residents to create awareness about the login procedures on the website so that every citizen can utilize the online services by sitting at their places without any inconvenience.
The Commissioner congratulated Jayaraj Kennedy, Additional Commissioner (IT & Finance) and his team for implementing online property tax system. The Commissioner personally interacted with all the DCs, Valuation Officers, AMCs, AMOHS, about the property tax collection process and instructed them to take much more responsibility to reach their targets in a phased manner, also to regularly conduct Property Tax Parishkarams.
