GHMC launches advanced technology machinery for Disaster Management

Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner Dana Kishore has launched a New Advanced Technology Machinery for Disaster Management of GHMC near Sanjeevaiah Park today.

Addressing the gathering, the Commissioner said, “to have Disaster Management Force is a dream for the city and other Countries are deployed such teams but this is the first time that GHMC has formed the team and no other Municipal Corporation in the Country was having such type of Management System that too deputing one IPS Officer to look after the Disaster Management System.

As per the vision of the MA&UD Minister KTR, this team has been introduced with sufficient staff and machinery that too in a very short time and the team was working efficiently to safeguard the citizens during emergency situation. The Commissioner said the modernized machinery will be very helpful to perform duties while in emergency situation like demolitions with attachment of flood lights for smooth functioning. The GHMC will strengthen the team further wherever need is felt, the Commissioner said.

The Commissioner directed all the team members to be vigilant during emergency situations and perform the duties diligently with more responsibility and to keep fit and healthy by regularly exercising and taking medical checkups so as to safeguard the citizens of the city during emergency situations

Earlier, Vishwajeet Kampati, Director, Vigilance & Enforcement, welcomed the Commissioner and escorted him while inaugurating the vehicles and machinery and explained the process of working of the machinery to the Commissioner.
