GHMC Commissioner Dr B Janardhan Reddy who is also District Election Officer (DEO) appealed all the representatives of the Political Parties to appoint one of the Booth Level Agent from their Party and furnish the polling station wise list of booth level agents to the concerned Electoral Registration Officer.
Dr.B.Janardhan Reddy, Chandrashekar, CEO Cantonment Board, Electoral Registration Officers / DCs along with the representatives of the political parties held a meeting with regard to special summary revision of electoral rolls 2019 as per the guidelines of the ECI today at GHMC Head Office.
In order to enhance the participation by the Recognized Political Parties on Summary Revision, he requested the representatives of the Political Parties to extend their cooperation in preparation of error free electoral rolls for conduct of free and fair elections.
The DEO while addressing the meeting said that the BLOs are conducting door to door verifications from June 21 to July 30 along with BLO Register containing the details of existing electors. They will ascertain the details of all voters from the head of the family / family member the corrections if any will be noted in the space provided under each voter’s details and obtains their signature and mobile number.
The Supervisors , AEROS, EROs are closely monitoring the door to door verification by the BLOs.(NSS)
