Girl missing after a ride with a stranger in Coimbatore

Sujmitha, a 10-year-old girl went missing after getting a lift on a stranger’s motorcycle in the suburbs of Coimbatore while she was on the way to a relative’s house, Police have launched a search operation.

Naresh aged 35, a native of Nepal settled in the city, was residing with his family at Vagarayanpalayam for over 20 years, and working as a load man in a gas agency in the same area, said the Police.

According to the report published in the DC, recently, Naresh’s daughter had wanted to visit a relative’s house at Rasipalayam in the outskirts of Sulur, for which both father and daughter came to the bus stand.

But since they waited for a long time they were unable to get a bus to Rasipalayam, and at that point of time, Naresh saw a stranger on a bike who when asked said he was going towards Rasipalayam.

Following which Naresh requested the stranger to drop his daughter at Rasipalayam. The stranger agreed and took the girl along with him. But to their shock, Naresh came to know that his daughter did not reach the house of the relative.

Despite searching and waiting for a whole day in neighbouring places, they were unable to trace the girl. Finally, Naresh lodged a police complaint at Sulur police station. Based on the complaint, police have launched a search for the girl.
