An 18-year-old girl student his morning attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the institute building where she joined three days ago for CA coaching in Kukatpally on Sunday.
According to Ramesh, sub-inspector, attached to Kukatpally Housing Board Colony police station, Sravani, who hails from Karimnagar, joined Tapasya CA Academy in KPHB colony on Friday. But she attempted to commit suicide by jumping from the institute building on Sunday morning. Sravani sustained grievous injuries after jumping off the 5-floor building. The management of Tapasya CA Academy admitted her in a private hospital and her condition is stated to be critical.
Police suspect that love affair could be the reason for her extreme step. Her parents reportedly came to the city and met Shravani at the Institute this morning and pulled her up for her love affair with a youth in Karimnagar. (NSS)
