Governor holds bilateral talks with Nepal PM at dinner meet in city

Hyderabad: Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan held bilateral talks with Nepal Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba during the latter’s visit to Hyderabad on Friday.

The Governor hosted a dinner in honour of the visiting Prime Minister of Nepal. Sher Bahadur Deuba, his wife Dr Arzu Rana Deuba and his entourage consisting of 40 members attended the dinner hosted by the Governor at Taj Falaknuma Palace on Friday

Later, the Governor held one-to-one discussions with the Prime Minister of Nepal on various issues of bilateral cooperation in the field of Information Technology, eGovernance projects and other programs being implemented by the Telangana Government. The Governor explained to the Prime Minister of Nepal on various eGovernance initiatives implemented by the State Government, such as Mee seva citizen services, RTA services, CARD (Computer Aided Registration of Documents) project, Municipal services and so on.

The Governor also explained to the Nepal Prime Minister on the important initiatives taken up by the State Government in implementing irrigation projects such as Mission Kakatiya, Mission Bagiradha and the tree plantation program ‘Haritha Haram’ implemented by the Government on a large scale to increase the green cover.

Deputy Chief Ministers Kadiam Srihari, Mohd Mahmood Ali, MPs Dr K. Keshav Rao, K. Kavita, A.P. Jitender Reddy, Konda. Visweshwar Reddy, Advisors to Government, Chief Secretary, DGP and other senior officers of the Government attended the dinner held at Taj Falaknuma Palace. (NSS)
