Is Govt. drowning Narmada Valley on Modi’s birthday? – Send appeal to save it

Stand with the people of Narmada valley who are facing the threat of drowning due to the stand taken by both Govt. of India and Madhya Pradesh.

According to the reports of Narmada Bachao Andolan, more than 40000 families are in danger as both governments allowed the water level to rise to 128.50 meters without providing rehabilitation as per court order. Water entered into many villages including Rajghat, Nisarpur.

Villagers who are protesting said that they will not vacate the house and are ready to get drown.
According to the news published in Sabrang India, it is shameful tactics for the upcoming Assembly polls in Gujarat. Water is released from unfilled reservoirs to fill the Sardar Sarovar to dedicate the Dam on Modi’s birthday.

It is also reported that 40000 families living in submergence area of the dam are drowning as, since yesterday, the water level is rising continuously rising which now reached to 128.50 meters. “This is nothing but a shameless show of personal obsession by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and disastrous submission by Shivraj Singh Chouhan to the dirty politics supported by Gujarat and Maharashtra Government”, Sabrang India reports.

It may be mentioned that many affected families did not receive compensation and house plots. After Grievance Redressal Authority failed to listen to thousands of applications, families started protesting on streets.

Further, in Gujarat, Narmada Canals work is incomplete which exposes the claims of Government to bring water to Kutch and other districts of Gujarat. This is tactics of dirty politicians to win elections by making false promises and risking the lives of lakhs of people.

Send appeals to the following officials and elected representatives to stop filling Sardar Sarovar dam till the rehabilitation is done as per Narmada Water Disputes Tribunal Award (NWDTA)
