Govt indulging in wasteful expenditure: Congress

Deputy CLP leader T. Jeevan Reddy on Tuesday slammed Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao saying that the state government was indulging in wasteful expenditure in the name of constructing new buildings and offices.

Speaking to media persons here, the congress leader said that at a time when the farmers in the state are suffering due to crop losses, the state government was focused on constructing offices and for their benefit while the farmers are left to fend for themselves.

The Congress MLA said that the Chief Minister wanted a new camp office for himself but forgot his promise of providing double-bed room for the homeless which he promised during the Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, TPCC vice-president Dr. Mallu Ravi came down heavily on the TRS government saying that its priories of the state government are strange. He wondered as to why the Chief Minister needed a new camp office and Secretariat when the state’s poor are suffering due to crippled health services and welfare and development taking a back seat.  He demanded that government to clear Aarogyasri arrears of the private hospitals and fill up the vacancies in the public health sector.
