Govt should be praised for nipping Bulandshahr conspiracy in the bud: Yogi Adityanath

Lucknow: On a day a group of former civil servants attacked his government on the Bulandshahr issue, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday said that the violence was a “political conspiracy” and far from being slammed his government should actually be “praised” for nipping the “conspiracy” in the bud.

“The conspiracy that had been hatched in Bulandshahr has been unmasked. This political conspiracy was hatched by those who wanted to incite a riot and create anarchy through cow slaughter. They are cowards,” Adityanath said.

“But their designs have failed. I think those criticising us are doing so to hide their own failures. They should instead appreciate the government, they should thank the government,” he added.

Inspector Subodh Kumar Singh was shot dead during the violence that was provoked by allegations of cow slaughter on December 3.

A group of former bureaucrats on Wednesday came down heavily on Yogi and his government and Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the Bulandshahr mob violence saying “politics of hate has taken the most dangerous turn”.

Meanwhile, Inspector Subodh Kumar’s wife demanded to know from the government why after 16 days his killers have not been nabbed. She said evidence that could lead to the killers was being erased.
