Govt teacher posts will be filled shortly: Kadiyam

 Telangana Deputy Chief Minister  Kadiyam Srihari, who is also in-charge of Education,  said the government will shortly fill up all the  vacant teacher posts in the state.

Speaking at the Teachers Day celebrations held at Ravindra Bharathi here today,  Srihari dealt at length on the measures  taken up by the Telangana  government to strengthen the education system in the state. He  said as part of KG to PG free education scheme, the government had established 525 Gurukul Residential Schools for Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes and Minorities in the state so far. Apart from this, two Women Residential Degree Colleges, each one for SCs and STs was also established. About Rs 1805 crore has been spent to improve basic amenities and infrastructure in all the government educational institutions including Schools, Junior Colleges, Polytechnic colleges and degree colleges, he added.(NSS)
