Gujarat election turns to be ‘not so easy fight’ between Congress and BJP

Prime Minister’s home state is receiving much heat over the upcoming elections. Rahul Gandhi, on one hand, has taken an intense and powerful approach with his impressive speeches, whereas, PM Modi is using the old strategy of attacking the opposition.

Congress vice-president has got a positive response at public meetings and rallies in 3 days Navsarjan Yatra in Gujarat. Gandhi hit out at the new tax regime GST, saying it was precipitously implemented which badly affected small as well as medium businesses, quotes The Statesman.

With the mention of Patidar agitation, Jignesh Mevani of Dalit Adhikar Manch in his speeches, Rahul Gandhi can get the Congress an upper hand in Gujarat. Not only this, Gandhi also effectively used all data such as demonetisaton, GST, unemployment and pro-industrialist policy.

Whereas BJP party leader, Amit Shah criticised Congress’ apathy towards their neglect of Gujarat on the development and economic fronts. In his speeches in Gandhidham and Bhavnagar, Shah questioned Rahul’s knowledge of the common man’s problems.

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Himachal Pradesh had called Congress as a ‘termite’, which needs to be completely eliminated. While, Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, while slamming Rahul Gandhi on GST, said he had no understanding of the new tax regime.
