Gujarat wants to see video of 22 years of development, not 22-year-old boy: Hardik Patel

AHMEDABAD: Hitting back at the BJP for the alleged ‘sex clips’ episode, Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) convener Hardik Patel on Tuesday said that Gujarat’s voters want to see development in the state not CD featuring “a 22-year-old boy”.
“Gujarat’s voters don’t want to see a (CD of) a 22-year-old boy, they want to see a CD on whether there has been any development in the state in the last 22 years,” tweeted Patel in Hindi.

Reacting to the purported morphed CD released ahead of polls, the 23-year-old Patidar leader told Times Of India, “They (BJP) love to peep into the personal lives of others. As their 22-year-old ‘vikas’ (development agenda) stands exposed, they are trying to expose a 23-year-old boy. I will consult my lawyers and file a complaint soon against perpetrators of this sex CD.”

The “morphed” video whose authenticity cannot be independently verified appears to have been shot in a hotel on May 16, 2017.
He had earlier said that BJP wants to retain power by defaming and crores are being spent on his “character assassination”.
“Just few days back, I told the media that such CDs will be circulated. This is just the beginning of dirty politics. I am sure that BJP people would circulate some more CDs because the man who did it recently joined the party in Delhi. But I am not worried at all about such tactics,” he had said.
